Typist or WP Operator New Zealand Police location Auckland.

File Management and Transcription Services (FM&T) are an integral part of the Service Group. The FM&T is part of a nationally centralised group which supports a number of key elements of the case management process, our frontline staff and also provides key services to victims.

The Service Group is looking for a number of engaged and motivated individuals for the role of Transcriber/Typist with a focus on exceptional case management and service delivery. The roles are currently located either Counties Manukau, Auckland Central and Waitematä Police Centres, but will be moving to Otahuhu in August 2020. You will work as part of the Transcription team, reporting to the Supervisor, Transcription Services, with a clear focus on supporting both frontline staff and victims, while driving innovation and good data quality practices in order to deliver on Our Business.

In order to meet the typing requirements, you must be able to manage your time in this fast paced and deadline driven environment. You will be highly motivated and a professional team player who can manage handling sensitive material.

Skills - you will be able to typing speed of at least 70 words per minute. Ability to transcribe accurately from DVDs and audio recordings. Work under pressure whilst managing conflicting demands. Excellent written and oral communication.

Experience - you will have audio transcription experience is preferred but not essential. Experience dealing with sensitive material. Administration experience where accuracy is important.
