My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Transport Manager to join the team in Papatoetoe. This role requires a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in transportation management, proven leadership skills, and a track record of successfully managing teams. You will be working closely with the CEO to develop and implement strategies.

Responsibilities lead and oversee the daily operations. Manage a team of 10-15 direct reports, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure team cohesion and high performance. Develop and implement strategies to optimise transportation processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination between transportation, warehousing, and other departments. Monitor and analyse transportation metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing transportation operations. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the transportation department.
