About the role we have a permanent full-time position for enthusiastic, motivated and experienced administration officer to join our Theatre Department as a Theatre Bookings Clerk. Joining our team in this opportunity will see you provide comprehensive customer focused service to our patients, families and visitors and be responsible for all bookings and administrative duties related to the Operating Theatres. Hours for this position are: 9.30am – 4.00pm.

Key responsibilities of this job include (but are not limited to) management of the administration of the Theatre bookings flow. Coordinating all requirements for surgeon’s theatre list. Liaising with surgical rooms, theatre coordinators and management.

Our customer focused administration team are responsible for ensuring the seamless patient health journey. The team are here to effectively support all clinical and non-clinical areas of the hospital.

About you to succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service. The ability to converse and be empathetic while managing a busy flow of incoming and outgoing patients is a key skill needed for this role.

You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, pathologists, administrators and non-clinical staff. This role will suit an individual with proven medical administration experience as this is a fast-paced environment in which you will need to hit the ground running.

You will also bring intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy. Previous experience in theatre or hospital bookings desirable. A professional phone manner with experience managing incoming and outgoing calls.

Experience using Patient Information Systems (I.e., Meditech). Proven ability to work in a customer service focused environment. Certificate in Medical Terminology (desirable). Remuneration on offer is a base hourly rate ranging from: $30 - $32 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements everyone who joins ramsay must be vaccinated against Covid-19 by a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation.
