The company a leading organisation is seeking a skilled QA Test Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge API and web testing initiatives, contribute to test automation frameworks, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

The role are you an experienced QA Test Engineer with expertise in API and automation testing. This role involves taking ownership of automation tasks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring robust testing processes within Agile & Scrum methodologies. The ability to debug API message flows and refine test strategies will be essential in delivering high-performing solutions.

Key responsibilities conduct API Testing to ensure high performance and functionality. Perform Web Testing in collaboration with the web team. Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, scripts, and plans.

Contribute to and improve test automation frameworks. Debug and troubleshoot API message flows. Participate in sprint planning, issue tracking, and change control meetings. Collaborate with developers and product managers to refine test strategies.

Technical skills strong expertise in API Testing and Automation Testing. Proficiency in C# + Reqnroll (SpecFlow) for API automation. SQL querying and experience with Entity Framework (EF) for database interactions.

Familiarity with Git (GitHub) for version control, including branching and merging. Experience with Octopus & TeamCity for automation test execution. Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL (DBeaver). Proficiency in JIRA for sprint management and issue tracking.

Soft skills strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to present API changes and actively participate in change control meetings.

Nice to have knowledge of Microservices Architecture. Experience with Unit Testing, Component Testing, and End-to-End (E2E) Testing. Familiarity with Lens (for viewing Docker images/logs) and Queue Explorer (for debugging message queues).

On offer 6-month initial contract with the possibility of extension. Auckland-based | Hybrid working | Contract. Competitive hourly rate and weekly pay.
