About Tennis Life is a business unit of Tennis Auckland, delivering high-quality coaching programmes to players of all levels. Our mission is to make tennis accessible, engaging, and rewarding for all participants. Tennis Life operates across multiple venues, including our main site TotalCoach Tennis Centre in St Johns, Nicholson Park, and the Manukau Tennis Centre.
Currently at Tennis Life, we provide structured coaching to over 550 players per week, offering an inclusive environment for juniors, adults, and competitive athletes. Our professional coaching team is dedicated to fostering skill development, confidence, and a love for the game.
Role Purpose As the first point of contact for Tennis Life, you will create a professional and welcoming environment for all coaching programme students and their families. You will also provide essential administrative support to our coaching team and help promote new products and services.
What You Will Be doing based at Tennis Life’s main indoor facility on Merton Road, Glen Innes, you will be greeting visitors, students, coaches, and customers in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner. Providing excellent customer service via phone, email, and face-to-face for all general inquiries.
Managing our programme court bookings, lesson schedules, and handling class changes. Assisting with social marketing initiatives to promote Tennis Life programmes. Ensuring payments are recorded accurately and assisting with outstanding invoices in coordination with the accounts department.
What We Are Looking for strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the confidence to engage with a diverse range of people, including handling difficult situations professionally. A proactive problem solver who can work both independently and as part of a team, eager to contribute to Tennis Life’s success.
Previous experience in an administrative support role or as a receptionist using online booking software, Microsoft 365 applications, and Xero would be preferred; however, training will be provided. A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work. Excellent time management skills—thorough, accurate, hardworking, and adaptable.
A good understanding of social media platforms. Ideally, a basic understanding of Tennis New Zealand’s National Programmes, but this is not essential. Willingness to undergo a police check and complete a first aid course.

Hours Required for the Role Part-time (0.6 FTE) Tuesday & Thursday: 1pm – 7pm. Monday & Wednesday: 3pm – 7pm. Saturday: 8am – 12pm. Flexibility during school holidays.
