Where you'll be working Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing the operation of the Switchboard, Paging System, and Information Desk providing a 24 hour service.

About the role to answer incoming and outgoing calls at a major hospital site. Perform paging of emergency groups for e.g. cardiac arrest and trauma groups. Provide an effective, efficient, timely and courteous service to patients, visitors, the public and staff. Undertake customer service role at the hospital Information Desks using relevant clinical information systems

We are looking for someone who has experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Outlook as well as other computerised programs. Has well-developed interpersonal, customer service and communication skills. Has the ability to work on a rotating roster 24/7, demonstrating a flexible work attitude.

Selection crtieria ability to make decisions quickly and precisely particularly when executing Emergency or Disaster Procedures. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Clear & concise telephone voice.

Excellent professional customer service skills. Be able to follow procedures efficiently and precisely. Demonstrated experience with a computerised, Windows based switchboard, databases & applications. Clear administrative skills, ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute. A demonstrated past record of being able to work unsupervised.
