About The role the Technical support Officer reports to the Team Lead – IT Infrastructure, Network & Security and contributes to enhancing the user experience of IT and supporting a wide range of systems and applications to ensure seamless delivery of IT services to end-users. This role is a key member of the IT service Delivery team, working in collaboration with team members, in a range of functional areas, including technology adoption, continual improvement and system maintenance.
Experience managing end-user computing devices including provisioning, enrolment in domain, centralised distribution of application, patching and updates management. Practical knowledge of Windows environments, WANs/LANs routing and experience in working with essential windows domain controller roles such as: Active Directory, Group policy services, certificate authority, as well as Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services including: Endpoints; Azure AD; Exchange Online; MS Teams; MS SharePoint etc.
Ensuring IT disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities are in place and regularly tested. Experience supporting business applications and coordinating user groups to improve technology adoption ensuring maximum benefits from technology are realised. Assisting users with report & dashboard design and management to yield meaningful metrics.
Experience in performing other critical IT operational activities including backup management, solution deployment, and change coordination. Understanding of continual service improvement principles and techniques, and experience conducting technology research and development activities. Creating and maintaining user documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials as applications and features are introduced.
About you minimum of 3 years’ direct experience on IT support. Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT and / or extensive experience in a similar role. Proven experience on M365, Active Directory, Network & Security appliances including Printer & telephony.
Experience in delivering training and preparing training materials. Strong understanding of ITIL framework and other best practice in IT service delivery that underpin the provision of high quality IT support. Working knowledge of current WAN/LAN network protocols, and standards.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Ability to positively interact and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. Critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyse and challenge conventional practice and ideas. Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, M365 administration.
