Are you ready to make a significant impact in the waste and recycling industry? Join REMONDIS Australia, a global leader in waste management and recycling, as a Technical Project Manager – Recycling & Waste Treatment.

In this role you'll will work closely with internal and external stakeholders across a huge variety of projects with the ongoing support and guidance of the National Technical Manager. You'll be focused to assist with the identification and implementation of technical projects from design to commissioning of plants and/or equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, construct, retrofit, install, and commission recycling and waste processing facilities within Australia.
Lead and support a range of high-value projects.
Develop technical concepts and create site and plant layouts.
Manage projects, closely tracking tasks and costs in line with the project plan.
Prepare management reports, project updates, and technical reviews.
Assist with tender estimations, preparations, and due diligence activities as required.
Review operations and make improvement suggestions for different business units and plants.
Mentor and teach technical and operational personnel.
Influence teams and project stakeholders to achieve the best outcome for the business.

Who you are

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar
Previous experience in a similar role as a Project Engineer or Project Manager with 3-10 years working experience
You thrive in a role with end-to-end ownership of projects with variety, accountability and the chance to see projects through to completion and delivery
Keen to work on a large range of projects, technical solutions and equipment
Operational experience in working with transport, waste management, energy, or mining sectors, with prior work in the Australian Waste Management industry being desirable
IT Literacy (MS Office) and Project Management Software (MS Project)
Drafting and modelling software such as AutoCAD or Solidworks is desirable
Understanding of PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
Sound commercial and technical engineering understanding of the waste industry or similar technical industry
Excellent communicator with a natural desire to problem solve and innovate with a growth mindset
Strong business acumen and experience in financial reporting
Formal project management qualification or training is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
