Our organisation we are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand.

Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.

The opportunity the NZ Familial Gastrointestinal Cancer Service (NZFGCS) is a Ministry of Health funded national service with offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Our multidisciplinary clinical team of Family History Assessors, Gastroenterologists and Colorectal Surgeons identify, assess and manage people with familial gastrointestinal (GI) cancer syndromes.

The team also provides education, information and support to families, including medical management advice and a colonoscopy surveillance referral programme.

We have a great opportunity available, for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual to provide excellent day to day administrative support to the team.  This role is based in the Auckland office at Auckland City Hospital.

In this full time role your amazing attention to detail, organisation skills and superb communication skills are needed to provide effective and efficient administration support to a clinical team including day-to-day customer service to employees and external stakeholders.

Important skills given the importance of this role, we are seeking someone who has at least 2 years administration experience alongside excellent MS Office skills with Advanced Outlook, Word and Excel.

You will have a basic understanding of medical terminology and previous experience working in a hospital setting would be a distinct advantage.  You are described as someone who is a team player, professional, hard working who brings a positive attitude to all that you do.
