About the role the General Election and Referendums is New Zealand's biggest event. We are seeking to fill a 4-month fixed term Team Leader role from 1 June to 2 October within our Enrolment and Community Engagement team. You will be responsible to lead a team in keying the electoral roll data and checking transactions.  This role will require you to work in shifts on a rostered basis. This is a busy role that will allow you to fully utilise your leadership skills.  You will work alongside a team that is supportive, hands-on and committed to deliver a high-quality Enrolment and Update Campaign.

In this role you will assist and support the Commission recruit your Data Entry team. Assist with coordinating training as required. Work closely with the Data Entry Team Manager, Registrar of Electors and other stakeholders to define, set and manage operational objectives.

Build a highly effective and functional Data Entry team. Proactively seek opportunities for continues improvement. Lead a team to compile and maintain accurate electoral roll data. Provide regular reporting on team progress to the Team Manager and Enrolment Processing team. Provide leadership, guidance and support to the team.

To be successful in this role you will have Previous experience in leading a team. Previous recruitment experience would be beneficial. Strong relationship management skills.Good organising and planning skills. The ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite. The ability to make sound and robust decisions. The ability to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities. About the Electoral Commission | Te Kaitiaki Take Kowhiri.
