Teacher Aide Ramarama School location Auckland. $20 – $25 per hour.

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic, proactive and committed teacher aides to join our supportive team at Ramarama School. One role would predominantly involve supporting a student with Down Syndrome in her class as well as working alongside our staff and other students, providing additional support where needed.

The other involves providing support in our new entrant rooms and working alongside two children with additional needs. Nappy changes and toilet training will be part of this role. Experience in working with children with Down Syndrome, Global Developmental delay or additional needs would be an advantage. The hours of work would be Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, school terms only. This is a fixed-term position until the end of the school year.

We are also looking for a Communication Education Support Worker to join our supportive team at Ramarama School. Your role is to contribute to the provision of quality access to education by providing high-level support for teaching and learning to a deaf student. Successful applicants for this position must be willing to undertake on-going appropriate training in NZ Sign Language and have some basic knowledge of NZ Sign Language.

You will be required to work closely alongside the classroom teacher, SENCO, Specialist Staff members from KoTaku Reo and whānau to ensure that student learning needs are met. The hours of work for this position would be 9:00am-1:00pm, school terms only. This is a fixed term position until the end of the school year.
