We have two exciting opportunities for Systems Maintainers to join our Signalling team one based at our Sunshine depot and one based at our Fairfield depot, with travel around the SEQ Network required.
What Queensland Rail has to offer
4 day week – 9.5 hours days, working both Day and Nightshift on a rotating roster
Complete Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling if not already obtained
Your annual earning potential will likely be between $70,000 with potential earning up to $130,000 - including penalties + super (based on qualifications)
Travel on paid work time including expenses
All PPE and uniform supplied

About the role
In the role of a Systems Maintainer, your responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical signalling equipment within the Southeast Queensland (SEQ) rail network. You will be part of a team comprising both electrical and mechanical signal maintenance experts collaborating closely. Your work will involve a diverse range of rail-specific infrastructure, including Points Machines, Level Crossings, and Pedestrian Crossing Mechanisms.
In this role you will
Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical signalling equipment
Participate in a On Call roster and be required to travel throughout SEQ network
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with WH&S requirements
Undertake accurate and timely administrative and recording duties
Review and improve current work procedures and practices
Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required.
About you
Must have a current drivers’ licence
Have a mechanical aptitude
Already possess or willing to complete Certificate III in Mechanical Rail Signalling
Team players who can be relied upon to work autonomously
Demonstrated commitment to safety
