DriveAway is Australia's leading self-drive specialist. We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Level 1-2 Systems Administrator to work in a progressive and collaborative IT team that supports & maintains the requirements of our North Sydney based office.

The role involves level 1-2 support, administration and maintenance of servers, storage, virtualisation, and network devices, management and maintenance of disaster recovery environment, pro-active performance monitoring of existing system, analyse, and optimise as needed, produce and maintain documentation of all infrastructure related systems and processes, troubleshoot issues to the root cause, go beyond ‘break fix’, and automate repetitive tasks as needed, ensure all systems are up to date, security issues are patched, and systems have 99.95% uptime.

Experience required sound knowledge of Domain Controller, DNS, AD, Domain Trust, Site and Services, Group Policy, FSMO roles within server 2008 to 2012 R2, solid proficiency of networking foundation, TCP/IP, routing and switching, NAT, IPSEC, VLAN, access control list, and understand OSI layers, experience administering database servers, ability to manage VMware ESXi, vSphere and shared storage, experience administering any network equipment, routers, firewalls, managed switches, background administering virtual desktop environment, advanced troubleshooting skills, think outside the box, and be creative with solutions, Minimum of 3 years in similar IT role, relevant tertiary qualifications.

Desirable experience with Palo Alto Network firewalls in High Availability, dual WAN, understand dynamic routing, QoS, etc, administration of SQL servers, experience with AWS (VPC, EC2, Route 53, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Direct Connect), involvement working with multiple data centres, administration of file servers with dfs replication, experience administering vmware horizon view.
