Support Officers Caravan Parks of Australia location Melbourne.
Caravan Parks of Australia is looking for a couple to work as Park Support Officers at our Frankston Holiday Park. This is mainly a residential Park with a few tourist cabins, powered sites, and 12 motel rooms. The position requires a couple working together in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidates will have a hands-on approach and strong outgoing personalities in addition to be able to handle difficult situations in a professional manner.
This job is not for the faint-hearted or somebody that does not want to get their hands dirty. You will need to jump right in there and support the team. At times the job may include tasks such as fixing things that break at the oddest hour and cleaning when the circumstances require. You will be supporting the Park Managers with the daily reception and grounds' maintenance duties and managing all the different tasks on their days off.
You will receive a remuneration package comprising of an annual salary of $45k + Super per person in addition to onsite accommodation (2-bedroom apartment) including utilities (electricity, water, and gas).
Responsibilities and requirements as follows reception duties include but are not limited to answering phones, check in and check out procedures, assisting customers, etc. Day to day running of the business such as banking and daily reconciliation. Assist and support cleaning team as required. Some on call night shifts each roster.
Skills and experience experience in customer service essential. Enjoy high amount of people contact. Physically fit and enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude. Good level of computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience in RMS management system preferred but not essential. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to different situations. Effective problem solving. Understanding of WH&S responsibilities. Experience in Caravan Parks is not crucial as training will be provided on the job.
Grounds' maintenance duties include but are not limited to general grounds care and repairs. Maintenance of pool, amenity block, BBQ, etc. Maintenance and basic servicing of park equipment (mowers, pumps, etc). Ensure property and team remain compliant in all areas of WH&S. Some on call night shifts each roster.
Skills and experience good handyman skills are essential. Ability to operate plant and equipment. A trade certificate would be highly desirable but is not essential. Physically fit and enthusiastic with a 'can do' attitude. Enjoy high amount of people contact. Current driver's licence needed. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to different situations. Effective problem solving. Understanding of WH&S responsibilities. Experience in Caravan Parks is not crucial as training will be provided on the job. Excellent customer service and organisational skills are required for both candidates.
You will be working on a 10/4 fortnightly roster (10 days on - 4 days off), which will include some weekends and public holidays. Having a First Aid certificate is a must and training will be provided at the beginning of your employment if needed. You both will require a Working With Children Check.
