Support Officer New Zealand Police location Auckland.

About the role the National Organised Crime Group (NOCG) has a permanent position available for a Support Officer based at Ellerslie. NOCG is a national workgroup who run investigations at the higher end of criminal offending. The Support Team are a part of, an expanding work group with teams in Auckland, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch. We are a tight knit team who work closely with the investigations teams transcribing audio files, DVDs and dictation necessary to prepare files for Court or related enforcement action.

You will have excellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word and also need to be able to accurately copy, type, transcribe audio and DVD recordings to a high level of words per minute and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. We are looking for someone who is motivated, and able to display sound judgement. You will need to be able to work well under pressure on occasions and be able to complete work with accuracy.

Key accountabilities ability to plan, prioritise and organise work effectively and efficiently to deliver required results. Ability to contribute to a positive team culture under PHPF.

What you’ll need for the role excellent written and verbal communication skills. Typing skills of at least 70 words a minute. Audio transcription experience is essential. Computer literate including Microsoft Office suite.
