Support Officer Ministry for Primary Industries location Northland.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role we are looking for a Compliance Support Officer to provide administrative and technical support to the Regional Compliance teams. This position is based in Whangarei.

Some functions of the role include facilitates the smooth running of the relevant Regional Compliance teams and contributes to the delivery of the team's outputs by providing general administrative, technical and logistical support. Provides clients, stakeholders and the public with prompt, efficient, excellent customer service experiences; including accurate information and guidance.

Contributes to the delivery of technical outputs by assisting with the coordination of technical processes and acting as a super user for relevant MPI systems and databases. Identifies system and process improvement opportunities by carrying out scheduled audits, reviewing internal protocols and recommending enhancements on behalf of and in agreement with the District Team Leader. Facilitates system and process improvements by coordinating and/or participating in support forums and documenting agreed system and process changes in accordance with MPI policies and standards.

Mōu - About you to be successful in this role you will need to proven organisational skills with experience in the maintenance of administrative systems. Experience in an office environment. Knowledge of administration and business support systems and processes. Experience working with records management systems. Data entry and reporting tools. High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively in both spoken and written form with a wide range of people, e.g. MPI, industry and the general public.
