Support Desk Biztech location ACT. Salary $55,000 - $69,999.
The opportunity this is the entry point to our engineering team. First Contact for incoming support requests. The position involves the recording of details, problem classification and scheduling of tasks to 2nd and 3rd level engineers. Expect to spend 12 months gaining the experience and skills to become a field engineer. The environment a team of 8 engineers managing and supporting in excess of 100 sites around Australia. The organisation operates using the ITIL framework.
Key responsibilities respond to inbound telephone calls from clients requesting assistance with a wide variety of computer related problems. Record and track support incidents to a computerised support database. Monitoring and responding to alerts. Plan and carry out pre installation configuration on a range of workstation and server operating systems.
Attributes / skill required have or be completing a tertiary or industry qualification. Good communications skills. Analyse and interpret data and produce reports. Interpret instructions and then implement actions according to ITIL policies and procedures. Current driver's licence and motor vehicle.
The learning curve to communicate effectively in a technical environment where our clients are non technical people. Install configure and maintain the full range of Microsoft server environments. Carry out on site diagnosis and correction of network problems logged by clients. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
Benefits commencing salary in the range $55,000 – $70,000 dependant on qualifications, superannuation, motor vehicle allowance and performance bonuses.
