An exciting career awaits you at ASC, Australia's submarine company - the sustainer of Australia's conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines in the AUKUS partnership. To deliver on this new and exciting work, we are seeking skilled trades individuals to undertake long-term, world-leading training in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, U.S.

Placements are available in February 2026 and will be between 12-18 months in duration.

Responsibilities

In the role of Supply Management Specialist, your responsibilities are:

Process transactions related to nuclear materials, including receipt, identification, inspection, segregation, storage and disposal.
Maintain a precise inventory of nuclear material to support fleet readiness, in line with NAVSEA requirements
Provide industrial and logistical support for the nuclear propulsion division
Support preparations for internal and external audits

Eligibility Criteria

The successful applicant must possess:

Australian Citizenship
An ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 defence clearance
Diploma in Logistics, supply chain or warehousing operations
Strong knowledge of inventory control systems
Previous experience in a shipyard or defence logistics (desirable)
Ability to interpret and apply defence specific regulations to nuclear or controlled materials

Additional Details

During deployment, you will receive on the job training combined with instructor led classroom training. This training program and work is carried out in accordance with company and US Navy processes and procedures.

At the completion of your deployment, you will return to Western Australia (WA) to carry out the planning, management, and in-water maintenance activities on the United States Navy Virginia Class Submarines. Repatriation to WA is non-negotiable, so please consider this when applying.

Please note: This is a Civilian role and recruitment processes will differ from those undertaken in Active Service Defence recruitment.
