We have also been selected by the Australian Government to sustain and jointly build the nation’s conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines – the largest and most complex industrial undertaking in Australia’s history.

Our work is interesting and meaningful, contributing directly to Australia’s national security. We offer rewarding roles that provide the opportunity to grow your career, and the flexibility to balance life and work. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.

Conduct technical reviews of engineering standards and specifications for supplier qualification.
Provide expert technical support during supplier onboarding and development processes.
Collaborate with quality assurance specialists and the DIVQ team to ensure compliance with program requirements.
Act as the technical interface with US-based shipbuilders and the In Country Qualification Team (ICQT).
Support the harmonisation and implementation of US and Australian engineering standards.
Build internal technical capability and contribute to the development of national industrial standards.
Engage with suppliers, government agencies, and primes across Australia, with flexible domestic travel required.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical/Systems/Mechanical Engineering), eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams and lead small groups.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Understanding of sustainment lifecycles, safety systems, ILS, and configuration management.
Familiarity with project management principles including scope, schedule, and risk.
Experience in technical problem-solving in design, manufacturing, or maintenance environments; awareness of submarine safety and Systems Engineering principles is highly desirable.
Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
