About the role information Requests are a vital service the Police provide to the New Zealand public, organisations and partner agencies releasing information about the work Police have done.

You will lead regional Information Request teams that respond to requests under the Official Information Act, Privacy Act, and Land Transport Act (among others). Within this role you will ensure the co-ordination and service delivery of Information Requests from within the Te Wai Pounamu Region.

The teams you will lead are required to coordinate and complete information requests, ensuring compliance with legislation, police policy and best practice guidelines. As a dynamic and engaging leader, you will bring the best out of your people and work closely with your peers in the regional and national model. Process wise, you will ensure that your team's workflow is well structured, process driven and delivered effectively.

Key accountabilities sound understanding and experience with Official Information Act and Privacy Act requests "would be advantageous but not essential". Effective communicator that conveys information and provides feedback in a clear and concise manner.

Ensure Police and legislative compliance is met throughout Service Delivery. Engaging leader that grows and develops your people, delivering best practice methods and increasing overall output and quality of team deliverables. Grows partnerships and builds effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.

You will require a sound knowledge of the Official Information Act and the Privacy Act and be able to demonstrate your previous experience in this area. You will be able to work under a high degree of pressure and meet the expected legislative timeframes.

You will be an experienced leader who enjoys sharing your knowledge and the experience you will bring to the role, and clear communicator who provides clear direction and support to your people and is comfortable engaging with key stakeholders (internally and externally) within the broader information request space.
