We have got an exciting opportunity for Student Services Officer to be part of our team at VU Brisbane in our Fortitude Valley office.

VU Brisbane is a new campus, designed to cater for international undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to study Business and IT programs. Student at VU Brisbane experience a smarter, more engaging way to study with the award-winning VU Block Model, completing one subject at a time. Students learn in interactive, workshop-style classes where they get to know their teacher and classmates, put theory into practice, apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios, and receive fast feedback on their assessments.

Key responsibilities providing outstanding Student Services support to VU Brisbane students. Assisting students with their enquiries across a range of topics including enrolment, attendance, visas, engagement, retention, fees etc. Liaise with staff to ensure efficient Management of Student Enquiries and deadlines are met.

Managing Orientation and Registration for intakes and assisting in graduation arrangements. Supporting first time Enrolment processes at VU Brisbane. Liaise with Enrolment staff to ensure efficient student enrolment across all the programs. Maintaining the Data Entry Record of all VU Brisbane undergraduate degree and postgraduate Master’s programs.

Monitor, analyse and report on Student Attendance records. Accurately recording, filing, and distributing all student related inward and outward correspondence including email and internal correspondence. Preparing reports as required and status update of students on RTOM/Meshed.

As the successful candidate you will ideally have relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience in education/training or services industry. A degree is desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a busy team environment. Ability to organise and manage multiple priorities.

Experience within a Registered Training Organisation or education program. Knowledge of the Standards for RTOs 2018, National Code and the ESOS Act (desirable). Experience and understanding of international students needs and requirements. Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Student Management System (RTOM preferred but not essential). Strong attention to detail and follow through on tasks.
