Student Services Officer SAE Institute location Brisbane.

The Student Services Officer (SSO) is a member of the campus based Student Services team. The SSO works collaboratively under the general direction of the Student Services Coordinator to deliver high quality reception and administration services to domestic and international students across the student life cycle, including enrolment, orientation, class participation, academic progression, graduation and all other associated processes and events.

The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background; excellent time management, organisational and data entry skills with a motivated and positive approach and who enjoys working as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

The person we seek will ideally have the following a post-secondary qualification(s) or a combination of qualifications and relevant work experience. Demonstrated customer/student service experience, preferably from the tertiary education sector. Previous experience supporting and/or organising events. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication.

Demonstrated high level time-management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks; maintain attention to detail and a high quality of work produced while meeting deadlines. Intermediate to advanced IT/data entry skills with experience across common business platforms/software (Google Suite, Microsoft) and Apple products. Demonstrated ability to apply policies and procedures in day-to-day work and proactively solve problems.

Able to demonstrate initiative within the scope of the role and work collaboratively as a positive and motivated member of a small team. Understanding of WH&S, Anti-Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Access and Equity, EEO principles and practices and other relevant legislation. Knowledge of the Higher Education sector in Australia and an interest in the digital media/arts sector: Audio, Film, Graphic Design, Creative Industries, Multimedia, Music, Animation, Games.
