Student Services Coordinator Oran Park Anglican College location Sydney.

Position summary the Student Services Coordinator will provide assistance to the Wellbeing team as well as supervise the operations of the Student Services team. This is a position with significant responsibilities and high-level interactions between administration and teaching staff as well as students. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality are key components in carrying out this role.

Reports to director of Academic Operations. Status and Hours: Full Time (Term Time), Permanent position. Office Hours are 8.00am – 4.00pm, although an understanding is required that the role will require greater hours than this, including attendance at full staff meetings held each term and other after hour events (with notice). Dress Code An Oran Park Anglican College uniform is provided for this position.

Major responsibilities the Student Services Coordinator is responsible to the Principal through the Director of Academic Operations. Duties will include but are not limited to the following create a positive and welcoming environment for students attending Student Services. Providing leadership of the administration staff in Student Services ensuring the day to day operations run smoothly.

Provide direct administrative and clerical support to the Wellbeing team including attendance and minute-taking at their meetings (as required) and maintaining resources. Liaising with parents/guardians, teachers, support and executive staff as necessary. Assist with welfare-related communication between the College and parents, including communication to parents and confidential record keeping.

Support the service of the Anglicare Counsellors. Preparation for Casual teachers, including printing of day plans and classwork sheets, laptops are available and signed in sheet is available. Making room bookings and ensuring equipment is set up for the Wellbeing team. Manage any inbound telephone calls regarding Wellbeing issues if Wellbeing team members or Counsellors are unavailable.

Assist with the preparation of correspondence to parents, students and others as required, including mail merge and/or Edumate to send bulk emails, broadcasts to Parent App, and SMS messages to the College Community. Assisting with the planning of events as required. Support and coordination of events for Junior and Senior School as requested, including event communications, Trybooking set up (if applicable), catering and serving.

Work with the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Principals to co-ordinate student academic reports and distribution. Assist with any welfare related communications between the Wellbeing Team and Parents. Weekly meetings with Director of Academic Operations to assist with any upcoming activities / events that need to be organised. Attending College functions as required with notice.

Performing any duties as is required by the Principal or her nominees from time to time. Working collaboratively, establishing rapport and maintaining effective working relationships with students, parents and staff of the College community.

Professional and Personal attributes the Student Services Coordinator must have the capacity to work in a dynamic school environment to provide administrative support to the Wellbeing team and Student Services. Essential criteria for this role include a committed Christian and an active member of a church. Understanding of and ability to contribute to the vision and mission of Oran Park Anglican College.

Warm, welcoming and friendly personality able to empathise with members of the College community with a high degree of confidentiality. Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced school office environment.  Computing skills including the use of internet and email and the ability to utilise MS Outlook, Word, Excel. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as required. Customer service and administration experience. First Aid qualifications including CPR and anaphylaxis training.
