About Student and Scholarly services student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.

About the role as the Student Recruitment Officer, you will work in a team responsible for recruiting students within Australia into undergraduate study at the University and should have a passion for representing the University of Melbourne externally to support our goal of attracting the brightest and best students to study at Melbourne.

You will coordinate the University’s interaction with Trinity College Foundation Studies Program, one of the University’s key partners in the international onshore market and support our work with our onshore international education agent network. In representing the University externally at recruitment events, you will be required to travel within regional Victoria and interstate.

Responsibilities include in consultation with the Student Recruitment Coordinator develop and implement a recruitment plan to facilitate conversion of onshore international students from enquiry to commencement.

Utilising a range of digital technologies including the University’s CRM, develop and monitor campaigns. Organise and deliver student recruitment programs for Onshore Student Recruitment within budget. Monitor markets and competitor activities to provide feedback and help inform key markets.

About you to be successful in this role, you will be dedicated and passionate about supporting young people to achieve their educational goals. You will have advanced communication skills with strong attention to detail and will draw on your advanced organisational skills to manage your time effectively.

As a collaborator, you work well in teams and can build rapport with stakeholders throughout your role. You will maintain an innovative approach to implementing new strategies to improve policies across the University.

You will also have completion of a degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and/or training. Experience at utilising a CRM and digital strategies / channels for student recruitment to engage effectively with remote audiences.

Experience managing financial resources to ensure that programs are delivered on time and within budget. Demonstrated experience managing events of varying scale. Knowledge of the Australian international higher education sector.
