Salary Package: From $70,536 - $76,022 (HEW Level 4), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading. Appointment Type 1 x vacancy, fixed term role until 31 December 2023. Location Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, Dharug land, North Ryde.

The role the Student Engagement Assistant is an important role within the Graduation team. You will provide support and administration for events and student initiatives relating to Macquarie University graduations. You will deliver strong customer service, a proactive 'can do' attitude and great attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following provide administrative and event support across all major student events including graduation and orientation programs and support student group queries and requests, escalating issues as required. Liaise regularly with student groups to assist with the effective running of the group and escalating issues as required.

Support the organisation and execution of student events and student group activities. Check event submissions to ensure all standard requirements have been met, including risk assessments. Assist with the review of student group's funding and funding requests.

Assist with event set up and coordination including catering; booking rooms; arranging equipment and taking attendance numbers down for record keeping purposes. Liaise with Group Marketing to promote relevant student events through the University social media and online channels. Provide general guidance and advice on event design and execution.
