Student Centre Service Coordinator The University of Sydney location Sydney. Base salary of $91,644 plus 17% Superannuation.

About the opportunity the Student Centre Services Coordinator will work with the Portfolio Manager to manage the service coordination and administrative support of the Student Centre's day-to-day workload by responding to complex queries, exploring operational issues, and sourcing solutions for the work area. They will be required to provide guidance and support to more junior customer service staff, utilising their extensive service experience and judgement, helping to analyse matters and provide advice on policy and procedures for the delivery of work outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will be to manage the delivery of daily administration activities and services, providing guidance to colleagues on the ongoing activities of the centre, ensuring high quality, efficient administrative support is provided in a pro-active manner to staff, students and visitors.

Resolve complex matters that may arise with discretion, tact and diplomacy when communicating, utilising extensive experience and knowledge of University policy and practice. Respond to a range of complex enquiries via telephone, email and in person, from staff, students, visitors and the general public regarding a wide range of the work area activities.

Build effective relationships and work collaboratively with all staff in the Student Centre and staff in other student admin areas to identify and develop initiatives that optimise access to information and ensure a service-centric and coordinated approach to service delivery. Participate in the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, providing advice on the implications for general administration activities and services. Provide supervision to a pool of casual staff including general coaching and feedback, performance monitoring, and simple issue resolution.

About you demonstrated experience in a tertiary organisation, working knowledge of academic institutions, structures and the higher education sector. Working knowledge of software programs and reporting tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service. Strong problem solving skills and ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload.

For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident. Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
