About the Opportunity St Andrews College is looking for a Student & Community Engagement Officer to provide logistical and administrative support for the College’s fundraising and membership activities. These activities will build, grow, and sustain new and existing stakeholder relationships and partnerships with the Colleges community. The role will focus on developing and implementing a range of high-quality communications, events, and other activities that will assist in the engagement and outreach of the college community.
About the person the ideal candidate for this role must be proactive in developing effective and ongoing relationships across a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will have a passion for building a community and network. You will have experience in coordinating or assisting with events, projects, and/or community fundraising initiatives. You will have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and customer service skills with excellent attention to detail. You must have a can-do attitude and be respectful of the history and traditions of the college.
Duties include but not limited to provide a welcoming and engaging personal point of contact for the community stakeholders including alumni, donors, parents, staff, and students. Build and maintain relationships with all alumni personnel through tailored communications, events, and resources. Update and maintain all alumni and donor records on the College’s database. Develop and deliver digital and print communications to engage the community.
Track, monitor, and report on alumni news, activities, honours, awards, and achievements. Work with the Marketing & Communications Team to maintain and update social media channels (Facebook & LinkedIn), website and send eDMs. Assist in the development and delivery of the annual calendar of events for engaging alumni. Assist in the coordination of the College’s fundraising programs and activities.
To be successful you will have outstanding relationship and stakeholder management skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail. Strong administrative experience with CRM systems, databases. Ability to work in a small team with a hands-on approach. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the education sector. You will be supported by a manager who encourages professional development within the team.
To be fully emersed in the role and connect with the student and alumni, this role is based on site (except during lockdown). The organisation is very close to public transport, with free parking. They also provide a choice of lunch every day.
