About This opportunity we are seeking an energetic and organised Student and Academic Administration Officer in the School of Biomedical Sciences to provide high quality customer service through the delivery of timely, accurate, and friendly advice to students, staff and the community.

This position is responsibility for completing a diverse range of administrative processing tasks, contribute to operational planning, and ongoing documented process improvement. Key responsibilities will include provide key stakeholders with timely and accurate information within the University policies and procedures framework, guidelines and relevant legislation.

Process applications and documentation for students in relation to admission, progression, assessment, study abroad, course enrolment, surveillance, and other student administration tasks.

Provide relevant information and recommendations to decision makers in relation to student matters in accordance with University rules, policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

Undertake academic administration tasks including updates to the curriculum management system and Blackboard sites, class allocation, production of exam papers, grade uploads and amendments.

Contribute to the implementation and review of strategies and work practices which will improve the workflow, efficiency and effectiveness of Student and Academic Administration in the school.

Participate in reviewing the accuracy of information in University databases, websites and publications, including study guides, the school and faculty websites. Provide secretarial support at meetings, committees and working parties as required.

Represent the School and Faculty at events, engagement and outreach activities as required. Provide secretarial support at meetings, committees and working parties as required. Other duties as reasonably directed. This role is subject to The University's Code of Conduct.

About you an undergraduate degree in a relevant area or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training. A sound understanding of administrative processes relevant to student and academic administration, or the ability to rapidly gain such knowledge.

Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work. Ability to exercise initiative and judgment and to work independently and autonomously.

High level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within the team and across other organisational units. A strong orientation to the provision of a high level of customer service.

An empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds. Experience in a tertiary education institution or other large organisation in an area related to student administration would be highly regarded.

Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g., Microsoft office, SI-net, Business Objects, InPlace and the use of CRM systems would be desirable. What we can offer this is a full-time (1 FTE) continuing position at HEW 5 Level.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $72,212.51 - $80,430.02 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $84,488.64 - 94,103.12 per annum. The following flexible employment options may be available for this role; some working from home; variable start or finish times; compressed hours; purchased leave; flex-time.
