About the opportunity the Student Administration Services team is recruiting for a Student Administration Officer to join their Mobility team. It is an excellent opportunity for you to be able to utilize your strong administrative and organisational skills in order to coordinate and undertake a range of operational activities on an ongoing basis.

The mobility team works closely with the Sydney Global Mobility Team to enable outbound exchanges for University of Sydney students.

Your key responsibilities will be to provide general administrative services and operational support to the Faculty Services Mobility Team, within the Student Administration Service (SAS) unit. Process short term, semester mobility and outbound cross-institutional study applications in line with preapprovals and business rules. Respond to student enquiries in a timely manner.

Explore administrative matters and prepare advice, recommendations and solutions related to specific projects, policies and operational issues. Provide advice and resolve student administration related matters that may arise with discretion, tact and diplomacy. Maintain professional, productive and positive relationships with faculty administrative staff, academics and other internal stakeholders.

About you excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.

Well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills. Working knowledge of student administration associated software programs, applications and databases. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
