Student Administration Officer The University of Sydney location Sydney. Base Salary $79,717 + 17% superannuation.

About the opportunity working within the Faculty Services Teams, you will perform administrative duties under general direction including preparing documents, records and web materials, responding to queries, assessing and processing a variety of applications applying relevant rules and guidelines, and sourcing solutions related to the effective, timely and compliant delivery of student administration services.

This role requires strong administrative and organisational skills in order to coordinate and undertake a range of operational activities on an ongoing basis. The position may be affected by leave exclusion periods, work rotation and overtime.

Your key responsibilities will be to deliver daily administration activities and services ensuring high quality and efficient administrative support is provided in a proactive manner to staff, students, clients and visitors. Ensure that appropriate action is taken on matters brought to the work area, and that issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.

Provide sound advice, recommendations and solutions on student administration related matters. Maintain professional, productive and positive relationships with faculty administrative staff, academics and other internal stakeholders. Coordinate filing, e-filing and records management in line with university policy.

About you excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods.

Well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills. Working knowledge of software programs such as hyperion reporting system, spendvision, records management, and content management systems. Working knowledge of student administration associated software programs, applications and databases.
