Student Accommodation Officer Australian Catholic University Limited location Sydney.
Full-time continuing role, located in Miguel Cordero Residence, Camperdown. Provide administrative and operational support to the Accommodation Coordinator. A fun and varied role, working face to face to student residents.

About the Sport, Wellbeing and Residential Life directorate the Sport, Wellbeing and Residential Life Directorate delivers a range of programs aimed at broadening the opportunities for students in the co-curricular space at ACU. About the Student Accommodation Team sydney the objective for the Living and Learning Communities unit is to offer residential services and activities with an enterprise focus, in the most cost effective way, bringing a business focus and innovative approach to their delivery and revenue returns where appropriate, to support ongoing service provision and enhancement.
About the role as the Student Accommodation Officer, you'll provide comprehensive administrative support to the ACU student accommodation residence at Camperdown to ensure the efficient, safe and customer friendly management of the property, whilst contributing to ACU's Living and Learning Community. As the first point of contact for residents, guests and suppliers, you'll also support the Accommodation Coordinator ensure that operational and student wellbeing issues are dealt with in a timely manner through the Critical Incident Framework. Occasional travel between campuses will be required from time to time to support the growth of the national residential strategy.
More specifically the role entails administering residential support programs and assisting in the promotion of residential accommodation to potential students. Inputting meaningful data into the StarRez and other university software platforms and creating reports to maintain a well run and well documented facility.
Providing administrative support to the sales functions, including attending to sales enquiries, processing payments, strategic room allocations, preparing student lease agreements, maintaining accurate waitlists and assisting with student check-ins and departures, to achieve and maintain high occupancy levels. Assisting in the management of the building maintenance operations. Sharing responsibility for the after hours on-call duties with the Accommodation Coordinator, to ensure students have access to support 24 hours a day. This can include a call-back to duties in critical incidents.
You will need to have completed a relevant degree; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, including stakeholders external to the organisation, to provide an excellent client service and meet organisational objectives. High level of administration ability to research, design and create business templates, letters, standard operation procedures and reports.
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan work activity, prioritise time and resources using established processes and technologies to achieve optimum efficiency and effectiveness. Demonstrated capacity to deliver against sales targets and experience with and understanding of marketing campaigns. Sound IT skills, including demonstrated experience in word processing, database management, Excel, financial management systems and Property Management Software (StarRez preferred).
A demonstrated team player who can attend to operational and promotional activities and events as required in a timely manner. This position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP) (ACT only). Total remuneration valued to $99,138 - $106,533 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $83,773 - $90,022 (pro rata) pa (HEW 6), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
