Storekeeper Logan City Council location Brisbane.

Position: Storekeeper, Salary: Stream A, Level 2 from $66,497.58 / year + Super, location: Loganholme Treatment Plant, Duration: 2x Fulltime, Temporary Contracts until 4 September 2026.

About the role council is opening a brand new Warehouse at our Loganholme Treatment Plant. This new store will allow our dedicated Warehousing and Inventory team to continue delivering high quality service to council as we grow with our community.

As a Warehouse Storekeeper, your primary responsibility is to efficiently manage the flow of goods within the warehouse, ensuring accurate stockkeeping, organisation, and timely distribution.

Your role involves maintaining inventory levels, overseeing incoming and outgoing shipments, and upholding a systematic approach to inventory management.

By maintaining meticulous records and employing effective logistical strategies, you play a crucial role in ensuring the warehouse operates smoothly, meeting customer demands and organisational objectives for council.

Minimum requirements of the role include relevant Cert IV (Warehousing & Inventory and/or Supply Chain Management) and/or significant relevant experience with thorough knowledge of warehousing and inventory management practices is required. Demonstrated experience working in a large organisation that operates at peak efficiency with a wide range of stock items and supply chain need. Possession of a current forklift and C Class drivers licence.

Sound level of organisational skills and ability to act independently within established guidelines using discretion. Proven experience working in a fast moving and diverse environment with competing demands and stakeholders.

Well-developed people management skills with the ability to promote and implement change. Ability to negotiate with key stakeholders and deliver excellent customer service to individuals and clients along with building and maintaining collaborate partnerships.

Sound knowledge of job safety and safe storage practices. Self-motivated, highly organised and able to work autonomously under limited direction. High level of communication and interpersonal. Ability to successfully pass all background related checks required for the role including a functional capacity evaluation.
