Station Support Officer New Zealand Police location Tasman.

We have an opportunity for someone to join our hardworking team in Greymouth. This Frontline Station Support Officer (FSSO) role is based at the Greymouth Station, working shift work on the public front counter. You will work as part of a small but highly motivated team of staff.

The role requires someone with an excellent customer focus and a can do attitude. Frontline Station Support Officers are a major contributor to the overall service Greymouth Police offers and play a big role in building the trust and confidence within the community.

Your role will be to provide quality customer service at the public counter and administrative support to Police which includes (but not limited to) telephone, data entry, file management, typing, quality advice given to the public, complaint taking and the use of Police systems. Training (if required) will be given to the successful applicant.

Skills & experience very good level of written and verbal communication. Respond quickly and decisively when required.  Manage time effectively to achieve objectives. Recognise and respond to individual differences and diversity, Customer services. Computer based systems.

Additional Information successful applicant must reside in the Greymouth area. Day shift work may be a component of this role (including weekends and public holidays). Shifts currently 7:00am to 3:00pm, 8:00am to 4.00pm, or 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday - Friday and 8:30am to 6:30pm Saturday – Sunday.
