About the role

This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape how our distribution network performs across Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania and to make a genuine difference to the way we support our stores and customers every day.

As State Distribution Manager, you’ll lead a network of Distribution Centres and an experienced leadership team, driving safety, service and operational excellence at scale.

You’ll be trusted to set direction, lift capability and continuously improve how we work, while staying close to the day‑to‑day realities of a fast‑moving supply chain environment.

What’s involved:

Leading and supporting a high‑performing leadership team across multiple Distribution Centres, creating clarity, consistency and strong engagement
Setting the vision for DC operations across VIC, SA and TAS, with a strong focus on safety, service, productivity and cost efficiency
Embedding safety as a way of working, championing Bunnings safety initiatives and ensuring every team member goes home safe
Driving continuous improvement across DC processes, systems and ways of working, using data and insight to lift performance
Ensuring strong outcomes across DIFOT, inventory integrity, product care and operational KPIs
Building productive partnerships with internal teams and external service providers to deliver reliable, compliant and cost‑effective outcomes
Supporting change and growth across the network, balancing pace with care for people and performance
Who we're looking for

You’re a confident, values‑led leader who enjoys working across complexity and scale. You bring people with you, communicate clearly and create environments where teams feel supported, accountable and motivated to perform at their best. You’re curious, solutions‑focused and comfortable making decisions in dynamic environments.

You’ll be joining a collaborative supply chain leadership team that values shared learning, practical problem‑solving and backing each other through challenge. If you enjoy improving systems, developing leaders and seeing the direct impact of your work on customers and stores, you’ll feel right at home here.

You’ll need:

Strong proven experience leading large‑scale DC operations or a network of Distribution Centres
A strong track record of building and sustaining a positive safety culture
Experience delivering results across service, cost, productivity and inventory management KPIs
Commercial capability, including managing budgets, operational costs and supplier contracts
Confidence working with data, reporting and performance metrics to inform decisions
Experience using a Warehouse Management System
The ability to manage change effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
Tertiary qualifications in Logistics or Supply Chain (advantageous, but not essential)
You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
