Purpose of the role this role supports Meat the Need’s relationships with key stakeholders including volunteers, donors and funders and ensures that all stakeholders are valued, their expectations are met, and the relationships are leveraged to maximise outcomes for New Zealand communities.

Key responsibilities volunteer Programme Management. Recruit, induct, retain, support, and mobilise volunteers in local communities and at events. Empower volunteers as the face of Meat the Need in their region, supporting them to facilitate donations from rural and urban sectors. Distribution Management. Coordinate protein product distribution to food banks and community organisations.

Grant Funding. Maintenance of current grants. Seeking new grant opportunities. Administration support for funding. Funding reporting.

CRM Management. Lead generation. Analytics/insights into donor, volunteer, stakeholder interactions. Follow up donor leads (e.g. from events, website, 0800 number), supporting them to donate protein or funds. Utilise HubSpot to track, manage and report on donations. Create communications and workflows that generate donation cycles for donors.

Event resourcing ensure charity events are resourced appropriately, including volunteer attendance and relevant marketing collateral (done in collaboration with the graphic designer).

Stakeholder engagement foster relationships with volunteers, farmers, donors and supporters, connecting them with how they can support the charity’s vision and goals.

Website administration manage website enquiries, the charity email inbox, 0800 number and text-to-donate service.

Project collaboration collaborate with collegues and sponsors to execute campaigns, projects and events. Nationwide Event Attendance. Attend events across the country as needed; this will be agreed with the GM on a case by case basis.

General administration monthly and other regular reporting on donors, volunteers and distribution. Management of current systems and processes. The role includes general administration and administrative support to the General Manager as required.

Person specification key competencies proficient in Hubspot and Microsoft Office suite. Primary industry understanding and/or experience. Strong administration and organisation skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, manage time and work autonomously. Self-starter with the confidence to instigate new business relationships. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and the ability to tailor messages to different audiences. Proven deadline execution.
