Sous Chef / cook (f&b – asian / western), no agency fees chargeable, attractive remuneration packages and staff benefits, salary range from s$2,200 - sgd 3,200 (depending on qualifications and experience). Job description maintaining high standards of hygiene, ensure that food preparation and items are cooked and plated accurately according to the standard set, plan, direct, control and coordinate the activities of all cooks engaged in preparing food, cooking food and cleaning to ensure an efficient and smooth food service, assist the head chef in planning menus, daily specials and food promotions, conduct daily inspections of kitchens, check food mise en place, assist in the preparation and control of daily and weekly market lists, ensure efficient use of resources and minimize wastage, manage and schedule junior staff duty roster, constantly strive to improve kitchen operating procedures, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes and other food items, slices, grind and cook meats and vegetables using a full range of cooking methods, ensure compliance with food safety handling policies procedures, maintain condition and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work area, perform duties common to all supervisors and other duties as may be assigned by the head chef. Job requirements minimum nitec in asian culinary arts, minimum 3 years of working experience as cook, valid basic food and hygiene certification, strong interest and passion in culinary, able to perform shifts work.
