The Opportunity

We are seeking a Solicitor or Senior Associate to join our leading Band 1 Finance team, to be based in Sydney.

In this role, you will work with leading Partners Melita Cottrell and Adam Roberts whose practice spans corporate finance, property finance, leveraged and acquisition finance.

You will benefit from the premium exposure to large and complex transactions in these areas, acting for major domestic and offshore lenders, borrowers and sponsors. The team's key clients include major Australian listed companies and wholesale REITS and key financial institutions including the major Australian banks.

You will have the opportunity to work with other pre-eminent Partners and senior lawyers across the wider Finance, Real Estate and Corporate practice groups. You will gain excellent client exposure and opportunities to develop a network of relationships. You will benefit from exceptional learning opportunities working in a team of highly ambitious and talented professionals.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Minimum 3 years' legal experience in delivering technical advice on a range of finance matters from a top tier, national or international private practice environment.
• Admission to practise in Australia, or New Zealand.
• An excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset.
• A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team.
• An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team.
