Site Quality Manager DMS Progrowers Ltd location Bay of Plenty.

Your job working alongside a highly motivated production team and quality controllers, you'll be able to manage and effectively communicate between the two.  You'll also be responding quickly to quality concerns, creating solutions and maintaining constant contact with suppliers and our in-house teams. Based at our Te Puna packhouse and reporting to the Site Manager, you'll be able to utilise your quality experience to contribute within a dynamic environment, packing both kiwifruit and avocados.

Day-to-day you'll manage Quality operations ensuring that objectives relating to productivity, quality and staff management are met. Ensure the compliance requirements of the business are met. Actively contribute to site and DMS team culture, strategies and initiatives. Coordinate, coach and motivate the quality team. Flexibility will be required as you’ll need to be able to cover extended hours, including night shifts and weekends, during our peak kiwifruit season (March to June) as our operations work 24/7 during this period.

You'll need experience in Quality Control within the kiwifruit industry (ZAP accredited) or similar primary production environment. Class 2 experience is advantageous, as it covers both kiwifruit and avocados. Current CCP2 to CCP5 would be preferred, but not necessary as we can train/upskill. Experience at a senior level and proven people leadership skills. Knowledge of Quality systems and a willingness to share knowledge and ideas. Excellent communication at all levels, including report writing.
