We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer/Manager in Wellington-based for a leading Civil Contractor as they expand their team in line with recent project wins and company growth with a massive pipeline of work in structural bridging and marine

As Site Engineer/ Manager you will report to the Project Manager/ Project Engineer and will be responsible for monitoring the construction progress, and supervision of crews and subcontractors to ensure assigned structural works meet quality, ,time and safety requirements while staying within planned timelines and budget.

Responsibilities & details structures Supervisors; civil structures, energy pipelines, foundation & marine works. Reporting to the Project Manager/ Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the structures program meets targets and deadlines. Interpret plans and specifications, lead and direct multiple subcontractors to complete allocated work. Min 8+ years Structures or Marine experience with significant civil experience in New Zealand.

Prior experience with Bridge Construction or Marine is of preference. Experience in managing crews with multiple disciplines as well as overseeing sub-contractors. Basic IT skills – use of spreadsheets, email etc. on tablets or laptops. A strong OH&S track record and strong general safety awareness. The ability to drive performance and meet targets. An understanding of, and a commitment to, safe work practices. New Zealand Resident with a minimum of 5 years of Civil Construction Experience in New Zealand.
