Shop Assistant or Store Person Vogue Furniture location Bunbury and South West.

About the role Vogue Furniture is located in Bunbury and seeking to employ a Shop Assistant/Storeperson on a casual basis for an average of ten hours a week. Initially the main responsibility will be the assembly and installation of office furniture, as well as assisting with deliveries to a variety of different businesses (including mine sites) around the South West. At times this can be very physically demanding as safely lifting and moving of heavy furniture up flights of stairs will be occasionally required.

There will also be direct contact with customers, clients and other key personnel, with some customer service and problem solving skills required. General housekeeping and store care are also a regular and important part of the role. It is hoped that with training and development, this role can expand into a wider range of duties and responsibilities with demonstrated progress and aptitude.

Essential criteria physically able to safely lift heavy loads up to 20kg. Good verbal and written communication skills. Problem solving skills and ability to show initiative. Able to learn quickly and follow instructions. Punctual, reliable and responsible. Clean personal presentation, C class licence.

Desirable good computer and telephone skills. Proven ability to adapt to a variety of tasks and challenges. Previous experience in assembling furniture to a high quality standard, including flatpack furniture. Experience with stock ordering and processing. Experience in a customer service role.
