The organization centacare Family and Relationship Services (CFRS) is a non-profit community organisation that supports the strengthening of family and community relationships, particularly where there is vulnerability and disadvantage.  Our services are available to the entire community regardless of religion, circumstance, ethnicity, economic situation, age, gender or ability. The role we are currently seeking a Service Delivery Coordinator to join our team based in Fortitude Valley on a permanent full-time basis. Please note that some flexibility is needed in order to meet operational requirements. Reporting to the Area Manager, in this role you will be responsible for the coordination and compliance of Federal, State, Fee-for-service and/or philanthropically funded programs and the oversite of a team of counselling Practitioners who deliver family and relationship services including counselling for individuals, children, couples and families.

Some of the programs this role will be responsible for are family and Relationship Services (FaRS). Family Law Counselling. Targeted Family Support. Domestic Violence Prevention Program. Domestic Family Violence Supported Housing.

Key duties coordinate the effective and efficient running of operational activities and service delivery arrangements. Coordinate effective client risk screening, assessment, and management procedures. Provide day to day support and leadership to practitioners and the team including ongoing supervision.

Assist with operational requirements of the services delivery as required,(e.g. assisting with any intake, assessment or sessions as needed. Coordinate the administration requirements for the program including appropriate recording of client information and other relevant data collection.

Assist the Area Manager in human resource management processes, including recruitment, induction, employment reviews, performance appraisals and performance management. Coordinate staff rosters and outreach and group programs, time sheets, sick leave and annual leave arrangements. Undertake the appropriate internal and external networking, planning and community development activities relevant to the organisation and programs.

Skills and experience relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Science from a recognised institution (including eligibility for membership of APS, AASW, PACFA or ACA). A minimum of 5 years previous experience as a front-line practitioner, delivering relevant services and/or 3 years’ experience at a senior level in the community service sector.

Well-developed understanding of the Domestic and Family Violence Act, Child Protection Act and Family Law Act, as well as the issues and the impacts on families engaged in these systems. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the coordination and compliance of complex state and federally funded service agreements and diverse services. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in human resource management along with a well-developed framework for the provision of supervision and support for staff.

Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain an action learning approach to service delivery activities as well as skills in leading change and transition management. Well-developed written work including report writing, case notes, data collection, data entry and computer literacy skills.

Highly developed communication skills with strong interpersonal, consultative and collaborative skills to support professional, respectful and constructive relationships with clients, peers, management, government and non-government stakeholders. Have a high degree of professionalism and integrity in working with clients, colleagues, and community stakeholders. Availability for some after-hours work.

Essential requirements for the role have a current Blue Card – or be eligible to apply. Have a current driver’s licence. Provide a current Australian Federal Police Criminal History Check or successfully pass one. Have working rights in Australia.
