Description

Service Centre Assistant UTS location Sydney, CBD, Inner West & Eastern Suburbs. The Student Administration Unit at UTS is comprised of a centralised group of professional service providers, who provide specialist support to a number of teams under the student and faculty services, workforce group. Main duties/responsibilities work collaboratively amongst an energetic team, servicing student enquiries in-person, on phones and over the counter at one of the Student Centre locations. Respond via our online portals on behalf of the university, to high volumes of enquiries from our culturally diverse student community and University stakeholders. Work within a number of teams across SAU to assist with peak period workloads. Attend official university events as a representative of UTS, such as graduation ceremonies, on campus enrolment sessions, and Information days. Main skills/experience customer service orientated with a passion for working in a customer facing role, proficiency with computer applications and databases, proven ability to retain and manage a lot of information with a high level of accuracy, flexibility to be able to adapt to all levels of change in the work environment, proven capacity to work productively and effectively within different teams and locations. Required attributes interested candidates must have proven capacity to deliver high quality customer service and solve problems, communicate effectively, in both verbal and written format, carry out a range of administrative duties and meet competing deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality, efficiency and accuracy, understand, retain and manage a lot of information with a high level of attention to detail, use computer applications and databases with proficiency, work under broad direction, be self-motivated, take initiative and exercise good judgment. Remuneration pay rate $38.14 per hour (hew 3 casual pay rate), the university offers 9.5 % employer provided superannuation. This appointment will be on a Casual basis. A current CV with referees who are your direct supervisors from the 2 most recent employers and a separate document of no more than 2 pages addressing the following selection criteria demonstrated ability to deliver high quality customer service and solve problems. Demonstrated ability with a range of administrative duties and meet competing deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality, efficiency and accuracy. Demonstrated ability to understand, retain and manage a lot of information with a high level of attention to detail.
