About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Analyst to join our team at Swinburne.
The Senior Systems Analyst, reports to the Digital Solution Manager and is tasked with forming strong partnerships with stakeholders and colleagues to enhance the Student application portfolio. This role involves leading the management of core Student Systems, focusing on systems support improvements, optimization, and business process reengineering.
Swinburne IT, as a thought leader within the University, seeks to simplify, automate, and transform operations through information technology. By maximizing the return on technology investments, Swinburne IT delivers substantial value to the University.
With a strategic focus, Swinburne IT collaborates with the business to deliver programs aligned with the University's strategic pillars, supporting the 2025 Strategic Plan. As a technology center of excellence, Swinburne IT also contributes to teaching, learning, and research, enhancing the experience of students and researchers through IT and digital innovations.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
• Under the broad direction of the Digital Solution Manager, plan and coordinate the workflow to meet the demand, aligning with agile squads and working within constraints including costs, specified priorities, agreed service standards and resources available.
• Work with the Digital Solution Manager to ensure that the team’s priorities are aligned to the broader IT strategy and road map.
• Ensure priorities are clearly understood and team members are familiar with the processes to manage those priorities.
• Maintain a high level of subject matter expertise and actively provide coaching, mentoring, and training sessions to the team.
• Foster collaborative work practices and promote a workplace environment focused on staff empowerment, efficient work practices, and encouragement of initiative, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
• Relevant post graduate qualifications (or progress towards) and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
