The role we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team in North Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families, while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
In this role, you will provide speech and language assessments, diagnostics, and therapeutic interventions for children and/or adults. You will work with a diverse caseload, providing evidence-based therapy to address a range of communication and swallowing disorders.
Key responsibilities conduct Comprehensive Assessments & Deliver therapy provide speech pathology assessments and therapy primarily for early years and primary-school-aged children, focusing on enhancing communication, literacy, and overall child development.
Collaborative Service planning work closely with families, educators, and the broader team to develop tailored therapy plans that meet the individual needs of each child, ensuring the highest standards of evidence-based practice.
Design & Implement Effective Therapy plans develop and implement evidence-based, impactful therapy plans across a variety of settings, including clinic visits, home visits, and school environments, adapting your approach to each unique situation.
Build Lasting relationships establish strong, supportive relationships with children and their families, seeing firsthand the profound, long-term impact of your work as you help them achieve meaningful progress over time.
Manage a Diverse caseload work with a varied caseload, gaining experience across different age groups and presenting challenges, all while benefiting from a supportive team environment to ensure professional growth and success.
About you to be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent). ASHA/SPA Certification or equivalent accreditation. Proven experience as a Speech Pathologist, ideally with [mention specific populations: paediatric, adult, neurological, or other specialties]. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, along with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans. The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of clients with speech and language challenges.
