Senior Software Contract Analyst
Are you a highly analytical and experienced software licensing expert with a knack for high-stakes contract negotiations? We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our global team, responsible for optimizing software spend and ensuring compliance across a vast portfolio of renewals and new purchases.
This role requires exceptional data manipulation skills, a deep understanding of software asset management, and the ability to operate independently within a dynamic international environment.
What you’ll do
Partner with the Business, Legal, Architecture, Security, IT Asset Management and Software Analysts globally to negotiate best-in-class license agreements to mitigate risk.
Lead software contract negotiations for medium to high-risk and long-term strategic agreements globally, collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams.
Formulate and execute best-in-class licensing, support, and negotiation strategies to optimize costs and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
Develop and execute data mapping and cleansing processes to clarify license positions, leading cross-functional teams through true-ups and audit responses.
Provide expert guidance on software contracting and license compliance to minimize operational risks and optimize costs.
Manage work requests, complexity, and productivity within defined Service Level Objectives.
Support the development and implementation of future state processes and workflow automation, including IT Asset Management (SAM) automation.
Verify software license entitlements, interpret contract use rights, and recommend strategies for license optimization and risk mitigation.
What experience you need
4+ years of relevant experience in software contract negotiation, software asset management, or a related field.
Proficient ability to accumulate, organise, cleanse, and assimilate large amounts of information from multiple sources, demonstrating high-level Excel/Google Sheets skills for data manipulation and visualisation.
Demonstrated experience with software licensing models, compliance risks, and cost optimization, including license entitlement/deployment reconciliation.
Proven experience in leading or significantly contributing to high-dollar contract negotiations for software agreements.
Experience interfacing with legal teams on contract law pertaining to software licensing.

Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM), including its tools and technologies.
Experience managing a large portfolio of annual software renewals and negotiating new software agreements.
Demonstrated ability to guide technical teams on optimizing their software licensing.
Experience managing a portfolio of annual renewals and new software purchases per year
