Your work will directly support our mission to deliver secure, scalable, and automated identity solutions for Telstra’s employees, contractors, and partners. This role is both hands-on and strategic — ideal for someone passionate about SailPoint IdentityIQ, enterprise integration, and building secure identity infrastructure in a fast-moving tech environment.
You’ll lead the integration and optimisation of SailPoint across Telstra’s internal systems, developing automation patterns, improving user experiences, and helping to ensure governance, risk, and compliance standards are embedded into every solution.
What you will do
Lead the development and integration of SailPoint IdentityIQ solutions across enterprise systems.
Build and optimise onboarding patterns, custom connectors, and REST-based integrations
Guide and mentor other identity engineers while contributing to design and implementation standards
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver secure, compliant identity workflows
Prepare and document deployment guides, work instructions, and test evidence
Support the shift towards automated, DevOps-integrated identity services.
You’re a hands-on IGA engineer or identity specialist with deep knowledge of SailPoint IdentityIQ and solid experience in enterprise-scale identity management. You’re comfortable leading technically, building automation, and translating complex identity requirements into actionable solutions.
What you will bring:
Demonstrated experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ in a large enterprise setting (or equivalent IGA tools like Oracle IDM, RSA IG)
Strong Java/J2EE development background for identity workflows and customisation
Experience building and integrating REST APIs and custom connectors
Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell for automation
Good understanding of identity governance, access controls, and compliance
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Bamboo) and DevOps practices.
