The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to play a key role in managing property and lease accounting across our portfolio. Reporting to the Manager – Property & Business Development Analyst, you’ll lead end-to-end property and lease accounting, ensuring accurate month-end reporting, strong controls, and insightful forecasting of occupancy costs. You’ll partner closely with Finance, Commercial, Development and Operations teams, and work directly with landlords and auditors.

What You’ll Do

✅ Lead month-end close for property and lease accounting (IFRS 16)
✅ Own fixed asset accounting for property-related assets
✅ Interpret and model complex lease terms (CPI, turnover rent, abatements, outgoings)
✅ Drive forecast and budget accuracy for occupancy costs
✅ Manage landlord reporting and audit deliverables
✅ Champion process improvement and automation
✅ Review and manage the coding of all occupancy and capex related invoices

What We’re Looking For:

CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent)
5+ years’ post-graduate accounting experience (retail/property preferred)
Lease accounting expertise desirable
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Confident stakeholder engagement and problem-solving mindset
