Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.

Key responsibilities:

Manager the delivery of the Kuraby to Beenleigh project, accountability for Scope, Time, Cost, Risk, Quality and Change Control.

Manage and coordinate the engineering, construction, testing & commissioning and verification & validation deliverables on the project.

Manage and coordinate the engagement of all the Participants in the resolution of Interface and Possession issues.

Facilitate the integrated Assurance process in accordance with the Integrated and Progressive Assurance Strategies.

Facilitate the Transition to Operations process in accordance with the Integration Strategies.

Supervising the production of the project plans and schedules.

Coordinating project reporting in compliance with the Alliance and Internal requirements.

Contract Administration.

Coordinating and supporting internal and external audits.

Attending/chairing Project meetings and arrange the preparation of progress reports, performance reviews and commercial reports.

Ensuring all activities undertaken are conducted with due regard to a high-level of continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience:

Significant commercial experience (5+ years) working in complex, multi-discipline engineering projects including phases of design, procurement, construction, commissioning - ideally within the rail industry.

Experience in the following areas of project management: Customer management, scheduling, planning, critical path analysis, change management, risk management, cost estimation.

Training in PMP, Prince 2 or similar Project Management methodology.

Initiative-taking, with excellent leadership, organisational, communication and people skills.

Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a challenging environment.

Ability to work and lead in a multicultural environment.

Microsoft Office proficiency.

Demonstrates perseverance, patience and commitment for long term success

Educated to degree or related trade level - Engineering
