The company exciting opportunity to join an impressive Finance function within an ASX top 200 business that primarily operate in the retail sector. The business has had fantastic success in being able to establish their brands as truly recognisable businesses within their respective markets. Outside of the core service offering the business has also began to create additional revenue streams in a variety of other industries.

As a result of an internal promotion the senior finance management are looking to recruit a highly capable Corporate Accountant. The role is based in the Southbank head office and directly reports through to the Group Financial Controller.

The Role would be attractive to individuals who want breadth and variation to their role. The role has a focus across Financial Reporting but also will be heavily involved in Project Accounting, which will give great exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis as well as Finance Business Partnering.

Completion of statutory financial statements. Perform consolidations and preparation of consolidated financial statements. Prepare cash flow statements and reconciliation. Complete responsibility of the parent companies month end close. Seek to improve processes particularly in the areas of consolidation and reporting. Work with external auditors on yearly audits to ensure compliance. Assist with the Tax function on any reporting queries. Performing parent companies performance analysis and providing variance. Maintain ASX standard compliance. Take ownership of process improvement initiatives. Ad-hoc duties as and when required.

About you will be CA or CPA qualified. Individuals either making the first move out of a Chartered Accounting Firm or who have previous experience are highly sought after. Previous experience working within a similar role in industry would equally be attractive. Strong understanding of statutory reports.
