About the Opportunity
ASC is seeking Senior Electrical Designers to join our Platform Design team, supporting both the Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Life of Type Extension (LOTE) Program and the Upgrades & Updates (U&U) Program. These roles offer the chance to lead and contribute to the integration of new and revised electrical designs across a wide range of submarine systems.

As a senior member of the team, you will apply your advanced electrical design expertise to deliver high-quality engineering outputs, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across disciplines to support the delivery of complex engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver electrical design and drafting tasks aligned with program milestones.
Produce detailed electrical documentation including cable block diagrams, schematics, termination diagrams, installation schedules, panel layouts, and parts/equipment lists.
Select and specify electrical components suitable for design, installation, and manufacture.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and engineers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated engineering solutions.
Drive continuous improvement in design processes, cost efficiency, and quality.
About You

Exposure to control panel/switchboard design is advantageous.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Knowledge of configuration management and its role in the design lifecycle.
Trade background or hands-on experience highly regarded.
Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
